Hi there! My name is Danique.

As of February 2023, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in International Business, specializing in cross-cultural business skills. During my studies, I worked part-time as a customer service representative for about six years. After graduating, I decided to take a new direction and began my journey as a virtual assistant, a role in which I've been working for the past 1.5 years.

Throughout this time, I've gained valuable experience in various areas, including social media management, influencer marketing, email marketing, partner management, and a bit of SEO. However, my primary focus now is on email marketing, where I specialize in building email flows from scratch, developing email campaign concepts, and executing them—from creating templates to segmenting audiences and conducting A/B testing. I continuously A/B test email flows and campaigns to optimize performance and ensure the best results for my clients.

In addition to my email marketing expertise, I can also help improve and coordinate customer service processes, ensuring your business runs smoothly in that area if needed.

The best way to describe myself is as a hardworking and detail-oriented individual who is always eager to learn new things. I pride myself on being organized and managing my time effectively. At heart, I'm an adventurous person who loves to explore the unknown, which is why traveling is one of my biggest passions. In my free time, I enjoy expressing my creativity through painting and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

In my role in influencer marketing, I manage the end-to-end process of identifying, vetting, and collaborating with influencers that align with our brand. I oversee outreach and negotiation, ensuring partnerships are mutually beneficial and strategically aligned with our marketing goals. Additionally, I coordinate campaign execution, tracking performance to optimize results and strengthen brand visibility. By maintaining strong relationships with influencers, I ensure long-term collaborations that drive brand engagement and growth.

Virtual Assistant for travel towel company

March 2023 - now

As a virtual assistant for this company, I specialize in improving customer experience by optimizing business processes for greater efficiency. I manage the entire email marketing strategy, from building flows and campaigns from scratch to content creation, execution, and ongoing optimization through A/B testing. Additionally, I handle various operational tasks and contribute to strategic planning. I'm also responsible for partner management, overseeing outreach, nurturing relationships, and ensuring long-term collaborations. This combination of tasks allows me to drive both operational success and long-term growth for the business.

Customer service specialist

October 2017 - February 2023

During my six years as a customer service specialist, I was responsible for handling escalated cases, coordinating with suppliers, managing customer accounts, and improving processes. This helped me enhance several skills. I improved my communication, both verbal and written, ensuring clear, empathetic, and effective interactions with customers. I also sharpened my problem-solving abilities, resolving issues efficiently. Additionally, managing multiple tasks at once honed my time management skills, and I developed a strong attention to detail to prevent errors and improve customer satisfaction.

International business study

September 2018 - May 2023

During my five years of study, I’ve developed key skills. I’ve learned the importance of cultural awareness and how to adapt to different business practices globally. My strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities were sharpened through creating a market entry strategy for an IoT company expanding to the U.S. Lastly, I gained hands-on experience in teamwork and collaboration by starting a business with a diverse group of 10 people during a school project.

Minor cross cultural business skilss

February 2021 - September 2021

I chose this minor due to my strong interest in cross-cultural understanding, especially within a business context. As a result, I co-authored the book *Delineating Leadership*, where I focused on Mexican leadership styles. Through this process, I gained insights into the historical and social factors influencing leadership, improved my critical thinking, and developed my research and writing skills. These experiences have enhanced my ability to approach leadership more inclusively.
